I'm relocating my life alone in a new city, from now on; Montreal is gonna be my new home.

This is gonna be awesome!! The life, the music, the people, the weather, the culture...

I didn't write anything here since last march, so this is good excuse to start writing again. I will talk very soon about my experience in the MUTEK FESTIVAL, and of course about the 8bit places that I found here!!

As a beginner on the topic of digital music creation, I found out what I have to do, to make 8 bit sounds.

The plugins are the answer.

I started to use the FL studio, but If you have another software like Renoise, Cubase or other, you can use it too!

How it works? It´s pretty simple, first you have to download the file, then you have to copy the file ".dll" into the folder "vst" in the folders of the program of your music software.

Specifically with FL studio, you have to make some other things. Go to menu "Channels" and select the option "add one", select "more" and at the bottom of the window click on "refresh".

To make 8 bit music you can use a lot of plugins, I found these:

Magical 8 bit Plug (no image)

Tri force plugin (from TWEAKBENCH):

The Peach (from Nintendo Mario BRos.) from TWEAKBENCH too.

The Toad plugin: (In Tweakbench you can find a Wide Variety of Plugins and effects)

PD: Even if you want diferent kind of sound, or don't like the 8bit, every plugin works exactly as the 8 bit does, just remember the VST folder.

Finally I have my first song on the net, maybe it's too early to start uploading and sharing files but I think this is a little bit more useful because I can receive comments, suggestions and different points of view about my music.

Well, I'm here ones again and guess what? I spent all weekend including monday with my new friends, making music.

These guys have their own music studio so the first thing that came to mind was to start to making my own beats.

I have to downloading some music programs, libraries, samples and more. And also I thought that maybe if I show here some links to downloading music and stuff like that, I will get someday a few comments here, haha.

Recently I discovered my love for the chiptunes music, 8 bit music, lo-fi music, etc. Different kind of words, same terrific music, well, the fact is, this kind of music will be my final objective, but meanwhile I have to understand many, many, many things about electronic music.

Part of this tools to improve my habilities, obviously, are the software, and I have begun with the FL Studio and Reason, but everybody knows that if you want to do someting good, you have to take all the ways that you can.

These are some softwares to use, to make some 8 bit noise: the Little sound Dj and the Nanoloop, the Little sound Dj can be downloading directly from its home page and other sites of the web, unfortunately, the Nanoloop can only be downloading from a torrent track, but all you have to do is use a client for torrents files and download it for Demonoid.

Some libraries:Magical 8bit plug and Chip32.

Maybe in the next week I will share my music here but, by now on you can download some tracks here , this compilation it's a zip file from beatport and the link is from DDJ blog; track 02 a remix of kam denny and paul zala it's my favorite.

The guys of Addictive TV have created a great Video Mash up from Slumdog Millionaire the remix show an entire sample of creativity and incredible sound that show you in a perfect harmony a good piece of Visual Music.

Graham & Tolly are Addictive TV, and these Djs, producers and Visual artist also are involved with projects like Optronica.

The original film was directed by Danny Boyle who also directed Trainspotting.

This is my first post of the year, and i swear, finally i will write here oftenly, the reason, well, by now on I will have a bunch of free time, I really thought about it and also, one of my Intentions this year it's about the comment on it. I always loved the electronic music, and also I loved to play Nintendo, but now I can get both in a single awesome fusion: the 8 bit music. Thinking about that, I found the Blipfestival . Here the main topics of the event are: Archaic game and home computer hardware with a four-day event showcasing nearly 40 musicians and visual artists occupying the international low-res cutting edge.

In the Festival, Devices such as the Nintendo Entertainment System, Commodore 64, Atari ST, Nintendo Game Boy, among others, are the popular musical instruments. The Blipfestival is part of the activities of the 8bitpeoples.

The 8bitpeoples first came together in 1999 as a collective of artists sharing a common love for classic videogames and an approach to music which reflected this obsession. The primary interests were to provide quality music for free and most importantly to have fun. In the years since, they have grown in rank and expanded their goals.

From hard-pumping dance electro to atmospheric pieces, even the nostalgia of the vintage, artists like:Crystal Castles, Binarpilot and Pornophonique used this technique.

A very long time ago, a robot named Arcadion the Forager, travelled across the universe, seeking something for man yet unknown. During his quest, Arcadion explored almost every corner of every galaxy, and even other dimensions. Although, the hope now rests with a teenager, Albin Karlsson the Decoder, to unravel the mysteries about this enigmatic robot. In 2007, Albin found Arcadion's logbook through a dream, hidden in the snow on a desolate mountain in the north of Sweden. In this logbook he could find two things; the name Arcadion the Forager and an enormous DATABASe filled with information about Arcadion's quest. Albin started to decipher the information found in the DATABASe and discovered that Arcadion's journey was coded into music. Music, that through which the mystery of Arcadion can, and will be unveiled by the Decoder, to answer the epic question; what was the purpose of Arcadion's search? The music of DATABAS is decoded material from the logbook that crashed on planet earth in spring 2007 and the voice of Arcadion the Forager. Incredible!! Well, ones again I'm here on friday the 13th, a spooky weekend??, no I don't think so, actually It's my birthday.

I don't know how or why but, one of the reasons because I actually decided to write ones again here, is the number of Cybernauts who oftenly visit this blog.

My last post here was on October 11 of 2006 Almost 2 years ago, WTF??

So, I cannot explain what happens here, where they come from?, maybe it's a difficult question.

And maybe this in not the weirdest thing here, maybe the strange thing are the places that they where come from. To see what i say take a look of this: Only in this month i have 40 visitors and in the last month the number is almost the same (50 visitors ) For example:

M�s Nescaf� from _Dn_ on Vimeo. Este lunes 02 de Octubre como parte de las actividades del "Segundo Festival Internacional Chihuahua 2006" el colectivo Más Nescafé ofreció una amena noche electrónica llena de luces y pantallas gigantes.

Al parecer hubo más gente de la que se esperaba, pues como lo muestran los videos, el lugar era propicio para disfrutar de los beats más intensos y ritmicos producto de los DJ´s que en el momento ocupaban el escenario.

Infected Mushroom in town! Next month will be great, fantastic and too well for all about us! Infected Mushroom strike back, but now will present his new material. Octuber 6 in Moroco´s Club will be the meeting to the greatest electronic music: "Infected Mushroom". The cost of fee is 200 pesos, I think is too cheap if we consider the Quality of the music. So if you know about Infected and you decide don´t take part, probably you will lose a great opportunity to enjoy a great psycho night!!.

Un evento que no estuvo del todo mal, fue la presentación de algunos cuentos a cargo de algunas personalidades del medio literario, los cuales se dieron cita en la planta baja de la biblioteca central.

Se procedió a dar lectura a unas cuantas narraciones, solo que por la falta de tiempo escuche solo los últimos dos. A decir verdad, uno da crédito a la razón solo si esta forma parte de los medios o entornos conocidos; lo mismo puedo decir de lo que pasó en el evento, ya que en realidad no tenía ni idea de quien eran tales personas asistentes al evento. "Encuentro de cuentistas tierra adentro", al parecer fue el nombre de dicha exposición narrativa.

Pareciera que no hubo mucha difusión, pues como se puede notar en las fotos, y por lo que me comentó Elizabeth, había más personas expositoras que oyentes en cada una de las sillas.

Ni hablar, tal vez corran con mejor suerte la próxima y espero que mi persona también, ya que creo que de todas las actividades de ese día, lo más interesante -- además del juego de basket ball que sostuve por la noche-- fue asistir a escuchar un par de cuentos a la biblioteca.

A strange day, but not comparable with this night. A great picture of the sky, the moon looks fantastic. September 6th.,in the middle of the week, who cares for the job, the homeworks, the only thing that I want to do it´s take a brake and no more worry about the existencial problems about my self. Unfortunately, don´t have a base to my camera yet, actually this is the reason cause I don´t take better pictures in the ninght; my Drunkard´s hands doesn´t allow me take a photos.
